What does HDI measure?
Three layers of dependency, each scored 0–100, combined with weights calibrated for your sector:
- Coordination — how work moves between people: approval chains, status meetings, hand-offs, and what happens when the responsible person is away.
- Control — how problems are detected and closed: manual review, human-only detection paths, slow incident closure, untracked errors.
- Cognitive — how much routine load sits on qualified people: system switching, manual data transfer, report assembly, knowledge held by one person.
